Make your planning application

The quickest and easiest way to make your planning application is online via the Planning Portal.

Apply online

You can pay by BAC, debit or credit card.

There is step-by-step advice and your application will be immediately sent to the council. You will receive an automatic acknowledgement of your submission, and your application will be transferred to us the same day.

Checklists and Forms

You need to submit the correct application form and supporting documents for the work you are planning to carry out. You will need to read about our information requirements before submitting it online. If information is missing it will take longer to process your application.

If you are unable to apply online, you can download the relevant form from the application types and checklists page. You will need to provide at least 4 copies of the application and all supporting documents. The completed application needs be posted to the address at the top of the form. Applications submitted by post will take longer to review than online applications.
