Book registrars
A civil marriage or a civil partnership is a non-religious ceremony performed by 2 registrars.
If you book your ceremony at Mayfair Library or the Old Marylebone Town Hall, the attendance of the registrars will be booked for you.
If you choose to book your ceremony at one of the other approved venues in Westminster, you will need to pay a fee for the registrars' attendance, which is separate from the venue hire fee.
If you require a registrar to attend a ceremony at a religious building, you will be charged the statutory fee of £97.00 plus a non-refundable booking fee.
