Community halls, playgrounds, sports pitches and outdoor gyms

When using our community facilities, we ask that residents act in accordance with the safety signage in place.

Community halls

Community halls are now open for activities such as support groups, supervised activities for children, parent and child groups (up to 15 people, not counting those aged under five), communal worship, weddings, receptions or commemorative events such as a wake.

We are now taking bookings for any parties and events that you want to hold in our community halls from 17 May.

Playgrounds

Playgrounds are available for use. Equipment is checked and cleaned more regularly but not sanitised or disinfected.

Signage is in place to remind users including supervising adults how to use these areas safely, including: to sanitise or wash hands for 20 seconds regularly before and after using equipment, wear face coverings and maintain social distancing.

Sports pitches and outdoor gyms

Outdoor recreation facilities, such as sports pitches and outdoor gyms will reopen from 29 March. Read frequently asked questions from Sport England that have been developed alongside the government about restarting sport and physical activity outdoors.
