More than half of young people in the UK aged 16 to 24 want to start their own business.
To help them get their ideas off the ground, the council has launched an annual Westminster Enterprise Week to connect young people in Westminster to the world-class enterprise opportunities on their doorstep.
Want to help us to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs? Join us for Westminster Enterprise Week 2018! For more information on how to take part, please contact Charlotte Healy.
Westminster Enterprise Week is an official partner of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s largest entrepreneurship campaign.
The third Westminster Enterprise Week took place between to 13 to 19 November 2017. Over 1,000 students from Westminster’s schools and colleges participated in a packed programme of events, designed to inspire and promote enterprise in the heart of London.
Among the WEW 2017 highlights were Tim Campbell and Margaret Mountford, known from the BBC’s The Apprentice, returning for the third year to run our Launch Event. We continued to gives tours of Westminster's enterprise spaces, run business pitching competitions and provided a wide range of hands-on workshops. New additions to the programme included a Hackathon delivered by Ernst & Young, 'How to Vlog' workshop by Play & Play, which taught people about algorithms and how to grow your audience on social media and a 'Self Confidence and Pitching' workshop delivered by King's Entrepreneurship Institute.
We would like to thank our partners for another incredible line up of events!
