Electoral Register and Open Register

1. Electoral Register

The Electoral Register lists everyone who is entitled to vote. Only certain people and organisations can have copies of the Electoral register, and they can only use it for specified purposes which include electoral purposes, the prevention and detection of crime and checking your identity when applying for credit. The law states who can have a copy of the electoral register and what they can use it for. It is a criminal offence for them to pass it on to anyone else or to use it for any other purpose.

A copy of the Electoral Register is available for inspection between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday at the Electoral Services Office, located at Westminster City Hall. If you would like to inspect the Electoral Register please contact Electoral Services in order to make an appointment.

2. Open Register

The Open Register is available for public sale and can be bought by anyone who asks for a copy, and can be used for any purpose. Electors can choose to opt out of being included in the Open Register of Electors. If you would like to opt out please email your full name and address to electoralservices@westminster.gov.uk.

If you would like to purchase the current Open Register of Electors you can choose between a data version, that can be sent via email, or a printed version. Find out which wards you require.
