With only one week to go before the Monday 22 May registration deadline for the general election, Westminster City Council is reminding residents who have not yet registered to go online and register before it is too late.
The Council has been working to remind voters that they cannot take part in the election unless they have registered. Anyone who has not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible.
This is your chance to have a say on a whole range of issues affecting your everyday life. Westminster residents, who are registered to vote, will have one vote in either the Cities of London and Westminster Constituency or the Westminster North Constituency.
On election day, 8 June, polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm. You must be 18 or over on the 8 June and a British, Irish or Commonwealth citizen resident at an address in the UK in order to be eligible to vote at the general election. The registration deadline is midnight on Monday 22 May 2017.
You can register to vote online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
