Employment support

The Families and Communities Employment Service (FACES) aims to tackle the barriers faced by parents trying to find work and support them into suitable employment, training or volunteering.

Our employment coaches will work with you on a weekly basis for 6 months, helping you determine your goals and support you to achieve them.

We can support you with the following:

  • job searching, CV writing and interview practice
  • learning new skills, including courses, IT training and English Language classes
  • support you with looking for apprenticeships
  • advise you on benefits and money management
  • childcare support and advice
  • in-work support, covering Housing Benefit, Council Tax, Working Tax Credit
