Within the City of Westminster there are many places of worship and a diverse range of faith communities: from Baha'i, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and Zoroastrian through to the many Christian denominations.
The Westminster Faith Exchange is a long-standing initiative to facilitate and encourage dialogue between the council and the different faith communities.
The Westminster Faith Exchange is chaired by Councillor Ruth Bush, and is deputy chaired by Councillor Gotz Mohindra. The Exchange's programme is managed by an executive committee of faith group representatives.
For more information on the Faith Exchange please contact the team on email@example.com or 020 7641 3255.
Every year, the Westminster Faith Exchange hosts a popular children’s art competition for children and young people from all faiths and none.
The theme for 2017 is ‘Being Alone.’ The competition is open until Friday 9 June, entry is free, and there are lots of prizes to be won.
A special prize-giving event will be held in July to which all winners will be invited; more details of the event will follow in the coming weeks.
Prizes will be awarded for the 3 winning entries in each of the following age categories: aged 6 and under, aged 7 to 9, and aged 10 and above.
To enter, download an entry form (doc, 235KB). The Westminster Faith Exchange team would be very grateful if you could display the promotional poster (PDF, 871KB) to raise awareness of the competition and spread the word.
We are looking for volunteers to help shortlist entries once received, so please let us know if you would be willing to help with this. The Westminster Faith Exchange team can be contacted via firstname.lastname@example.org, or by calling Janis Best on 020 7641 3255.
