In 2016 we commissioned Future Public to provide research and intelligence to underpin the business case for a new Westminster Employment Service. The research covered quantitative and qualitative analysis of what services create an impact on unemployment and their comparative characteristics.
The researchers worked with front-line advisors from providers with a long experience of working in Westminster to understand the strengths and barriers of the current system. They also engaged employers to understand how they might increase access to opportunities for unemployed residents.
Developers who have an s106 obligation with the council who have committed to employment and skills outcomes as a part of their planning application can report on their quarterly progress using this spreadsheet.
