1. Introduction to plumbing, painting and decorating

This course is for the following people looking for a career in construction:

  • unemployed 18 to 24 year-olds
  • 25 year-olds and over who have been unemployed for more than 6 months 

Date: 31 July to 11 August, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Venue: Summit Community Centre, Portland Avenue, London, N16 6HA.

During this 2 week programme, you'll learn a variety of practical skills through plumbing, and painting and decorating taster sessions. You'll also improve your employability skills and learn about health and safety, asbestos awareness and manual handling.

At the end of the course you'll get a BTEC Level 1 Certificate in Construction, gain your CSCS green card and be offered an interview.


This event is free, including lunch and travel reimbursement. This event is open to Westminster residents.

2. Ritz Academy

This is a great opportunity to join and be trained by one of the world’s most highly skilled teams in the hospitality sector. Successful applicants will receive a full time paid salary.

Applicants do not need specific skills or experiences - but a willingness to learn and a passion for a career in hospitality is a must.

3. Recruitment Fair

Come along to the Wilmott Dixon Recruitment Fair - in partnership with Westminster City Council and Recruit London.

You will have the opportunity to interview for the job that interests you.
