Any school admissions change must be subject to consultation of not less than six weeks and should be compliant with the School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012/8 (“the Regulations”).
All school/academies must formally determine their admission arrangements for the academic year of entry 2020/21 in accordance with Regulation 17 of associated regulations. Arrangements are determined by the responsible admission authority. For community schools this will be the Council. For Academies and voluntary aided schools (church) this will be the Governing Body.
Admission arrangements must be determined by 28 February and published for public viewing by 15 March 2019

In accordance with Regulation 21 of the Regulations and Section 88 of the SSFA 1998, any person or body who considered that any maintained school or Academy's arrangements are unlawful, or not compliant with the Code or relevant law relating to admissions, can make an objection to the School Adjudicator.
