Patients in care homes and hospitals
If someone in the household is now registered in a care home or is in hospital permanently and does not intend to return to the household, please complete the form to apply for an exemption.
This is a Class E exemption if the property is now empty.
If, for example, one person leaves and one other remains at the property, a discount can be applied. You'll be asked if this applies to you when applying for the exemption.
