The responsibility for enforcing health and safety at work is shared between the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and councils.
The Westminster City Council Health and Safety Team covers safety across offices, leisure venues, hotels and places of worship.
As well conducting the inspections and investigations described in these pages, the team is also responsible for lifts, boilers and pressure vessels and recreational water sampling. They provide advice and guidance on how to stay safe and comply with the law.
