As part of the festive cheers to end the year, the Business Community Partnership team alongside Westminster Connects lead in delivering 1,060 hampers to elderly residents, 525 Christmas vouchers for families in need, and 455 Christmas vouchers for looked after children. The hampers included:
Content goods for the 520 hampers were purchased from Unity Café and gifts were purchased gifts from Victoria Street retailers to promote local businesses and enterprises.
Staff from Barclays Bank, Grosvenor Estate, Derwent London, Bouygues, Multiplex, Willmott & Dixon, Landsec, North Bank BID volunteered between 14 and 16 December alongside Westminster Connects volunteers to deliver the hampers to residents. Some of our volunteers also used Zipcars to deliver hampers to residents tying in with our greener City for All vison.
To top it all off with the festive spirit of giving, some school pupils, Cllrs and donors create 780 handwritten cards that were delivered to residents.
