The London’s New Year’s Day Festival concert visits St. John’s Smith Square and Cadogan Hall on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 December with live entertainment including a choir, orchestra, drums and much more.

London’s world famous New Year’s Day Parade will take place around Green Park, Westminster and Charing Cross from 12 midday on 1 January 2017.
The parade, a free public event with participants from all over the world, is celebrating 30 magical years with the “biggest street spectacular the capital has ever seen”. The event includes bands, orchestras and floats containing approximately 3,500 to 4,000 participants, and is expected to attract an enthusiastic crowd of two thirds of a million.

Westminster has 116 parks and open spaces ranging from small gardens to larger areas of open space - including four of the Royal Parks. Why not use the holidays to explore a new one?
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland transforms one of Westminster’s most beloved parks into a festive destination for people of all ages. It’s free to enter so you can walk around at your leisure and soak up the atmosphere. Open daily between 10am-10pm until 2 January 2017 (closed on Christmas Day).
Westminster has nine low cost, pay-as-you-go leisure centres where you can stay active this holiday season. Under 19s living or studying in the borough can apply for a leisure centre card to get free swimming and other discounts. Discounts are also available for over 60s, carers, those seeking employment and disabled people.
