Summer Reading Challenge 2020

The Summer Reading Challenge, by The Reading Agency, encourages children aged 4 to 11 to set themselves a reading challenge to help prevent the summer reading 'dip'.

This year, Silly Squad, the Summer Reading Challenge for 2020, will celebrate funny books, happiness and laughter. Children taking part in this year’s challenge will join the Silly Squad, an adventurous team of animals who love to have a laugh and get stuck into all different kinds of funny books.

To join the Silly Squad and take part in this year, visit the Summer Reading Challenge website.

Tiny Tunes music and dance session

  • Friday 14 August
  • 10.30am and 11.45am

Watch this award winning music and dance class from the comfort of your own home - hide under a parachute, wave the pom-poms, shake the maracas, dance with bubbles and sing along!

As well as the all-time favourite rhymes and songs and meeting Mr Tiny, Tiny Tunes gets the little ones dancing to some of the well known pop classics. Grab anything that rattles or shakes and a scarf or a ribbon that you can wave from your home.

These sessions can help build children's self-confidence. Early music exposure can also help promote critical listening skills, language and literacy, creativity and coordination in the future.
