Change4Life Westminster encourages and supports children, young people and families across Westminster to make healthy lifestyle choices, making it easier for children and young people to eat well and be active.
Children are recommended to be physically active for at least 60 minutes every day. It’s important to eat healthily and look after our own and others’ wellbeing. We know this has been hard during COVID-19 which is why the following resources might help:
Kids should aim to be active for 60 minutes every day. We know that may feel difficult right now, but there are loads of Disney inspired indoor games and 10 Minute Shake Up activities on the NHS website to help kids stay active while everyone's at home.
Get inspired in the kitchen by signing up for Change4Life Cook Together meal plan and take the first step to cooking healthier meals for your family. Every week for four weeks you’ll get two tasty recipes with how-to videos, easy-to-follow instructions and cooking hints and tips. In one month, you'll know how to cook up to 8 different meals from scratch!
Naturally Active summer campaign
We ran a campaign last summer to encourage families to venture out into nature, keep moving and enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors. Have a look at the Naturally Active booklet for useful ideas when spending time outdoors with your family!
