It’s surprising how much sugar there is in some of the things that we give our children throughout the day, from the cereal they have for breakfast, the drinks they have during the day, the snacks they have after school and the puddings after a meal.

Eating too much sugar means extra calories which causes fat to build up inside, that could lead to heart disease, cancer or type 2 diabetes.

Keep active

As well as cutting down on your sugar intake, you can also increase your activity level to keep healthy.
