Westminster City Council wants to redevelop Carlton Dene into a modern extra care housing development, delivering around 65 self-contained extra care flats. Extra care housing provides older people the opportunity to live as independently as possible while benefiting from 24-hour care on-site, together with social and recreational facilities to continue a high quality of life.
We also want to redevelop Peebles House into 22 apartments, all with affordable rents, ensuring families can continue to call the local area home.
All homes will be built with very high energy efficiency and environmental standards. Local people can benefit from brand new community amenities and green spaces.
We consulted on our early proposals between 13 July – 9 August 2020. You can read more about the early proposals by clicking here.
Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts on our initial designs for the new extra care housing and affordable homes at the site of Carlton Dene and Peebles House. We’ve taken your suggestions on board and we'd like to hear what you think about our updated proposals. Find out more and have your say.
Most of your comments were supportive of the council building new extra-care housing in the area, and many residents recognised the need for more affordable housing.
