Westminster Enterprise Week is an official partner of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the world’s largest entrepreneurship campaign. It runs from Monday 13 November to Sunday 19 November.
More than half of young people in the UK aged 16 to 24 want to start their own business. We want to connect young people to the incredible enterprise landscape that is at their doorstep.
We have a variety of events running throughout the week, whether you are simply looking to learn more about enterprise or have an idea you want to launch.
This event will provide an opportunity for Westminster’s aspiring female entrepreneurs to meet and learn from some of the country’s most successful and influential businesswomen. Speakers include:
Framestore is an Oscar-winning creative studio with inputs into major film projects including Gravity, Guardian of the Galaxy, Game of Thrones and Paddington. Attendees will get an opportunity to hear from the Chief Creative Officer, Mike McGee winner of three Emmy Awards for Visual Effects (VFX).
Bright Ideas Trust will be returning to run the launch event for Westminster Enterprise Week 2017. Attendees will take part in four workshops designed to help build up the skills required to succeed in business. There will also be an opportunity for students to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges.
Ernst & Young will be running a social Hackathon and will kick-start this workshop with an introduction to tech megatrends such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Virtual Reality and others! Attendees have an opportunity to tackle genuine societal issues and pitch their ideas to a panel of experts.
