Ordering extra marriage certificates

Prior to your ceremony

You can order extra certificates prior to the ceremony date or after the ceremony date. However, you cannot order extra certificates on the day of the ceremony. Certificates cost £11 each.

To make an online payment for extra certificates, you must have already booked your ceremony and know your booking reference number.

On the payment and ordering page, you will need to select account group 'Miscellaneous' and account type 'Marriage/Civil Partnership - Certificates' from the drop down list. You will then be prompted to enter your booking reference and the number of certificates you require.

After your ceremony

If you wish to order further certificates after your ceremony has taken place, please contact the register office. There is currently a problem with the national database used by all registrars in England and Wales affecting the ability to print documents.

Certificates ordered after the ceremony date cost £11 each plus the cost of postage which will depend on the type of postage you choose.
