Interested in becoming a childminder or childcare provider?

Bi-Borough Childcare and Early Education Service hosts free information sessions for those interested in a career in the childcare sector.

For details of the next two hour Childminder Information Session and the subsequent home-based Childcare Course (chargeable) please contact the Childcare and Early Education Service via Bi-BoroughChildCareEarlyEd@rbkc.gov.uk or call 020 7641 7929.

Alternatively there are a number of organisations that offer online training courses including Pacey who offer an online course. Find out more about completing the course.  

Register online on the Early Years Register or the Childcare Register

Visit the Ofsted Online website to register on the Early Years Register and the Childcare Register. You will need to create an account to use Ofsted Online.

Registering as a nanny

People who care for children in the child’s own home do not normally need to register with Ofsted. However, you can opt to register on the voluntary part of the Childcare Register if you wish to do so.
