London Asylum Seekers Consortium

The London Asylum Seekers Consortium (LASC) is a central resource of knowledge and expertise for London local authorities who deliver services to unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people.

The core service focus is the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. This includes provision of accommodation and support services, information, training and partnership working.

LASC works in partnership with London boroughs, UK Border Agency (UKBA), London Councils, government bodies and voluntary agencies in the provision of services, safeguarding and protection of children and young people.

The LASC web pages are a centralised information point for London boroughs, stakeholders and external agencies. The web pages provides updates on core areas of LASC services and provides the foundation for information and general enquiries raised by London Boroughs, including a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section soon to be launched.

LASC will research projects and initiatives focused on children and young people and sign post to London boroughs and stakeholders.
