Removal or variation of conditions

You can apply to vary a condition on your planning permission or to remove it all together, under Section 73 of the Act.

You can also use this to apply for a Minor Material Amendment to an approved scheme under Section 96A of the Act, by applying to vary the ‘approved plans’ condition (which is usually Condition 1 of the planning permission).

The quickest and easiest way to submit a planning application is online via the Planning Portal.

Apply online

Please clearly outline the proposed changes to the approved scheme by providing a numbered list of changes accompanied by a list of the titles of all superseded and replacement drawings and supporting documents. Plans should be annotated to highlight the proposed changes and each amended supporting document should include a brief summary of the changes to that document. You can use our validation checklist below to ensure you meet all the requirements.
