A number of free tickets are being made available to Westminster residents for a charity concert being held on Friday 23 February, hosted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster.
The concert, staged at the iconic Wigmore Hall, takes its inspiration from William Shakespeare’s famous speech ‘All the World’s a Stage’, and opens with a recital of the speech in full, followed by performances of key works by Haydn, Schubert, Brahms and Schumann, exploring different stages of life through their music.
Artists involved include the world-famous soprano Ailish Tynan; mezzo-soprano Anna Huntley; and Stephan Loge, who has sung Bach cantatas with Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and toured recently with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
The event, which is supported by Victoria Business Improvement District, promises an evening of exquisite and thought-provoking music, with all proceeds going to Age UK Westminster and Social Mobility Foundation.
