Do you know an inspirational sports coach, an active school or a dedicated volunteer? Show them your appreciation by nominating them for an ActiveWestminster Award.

The awards recognise those who change lives through their outstanding contribution to physical activity sport and leisure. There are 10 categories to choose from and they could win big prizes at the awards ceremony taking place at Lord's Cricket Ground, presented by a very special sporting celebrity.

Now in its 8th year, the awards are a chance to highlight the hard work of inspiring people and organisations across Westminster.

This category is open to ActiveWestminster Mark clubs or those working towards the accreditation.

This category is open to people on the ‘Champion of the Future’ scheme.

This award recognises an outstanding team or individual performance at the London Youth Games or School Games in 2017.  

This award is open to primary, secondary and specialist schools.

This award is open to any place or space that offers physical activity, sports and leisure opportunities (such as sports facilities, community spaces, parks, sports pitches and gyms).

This award will recognise projects which have made a difference to health and wellbeing through physical activity. 

This award recognises individuals, clubs or facilities that create and deliver inclusive activities for deaf and disabled people.

This award will recognise a qualified coach who encourages more people to engage and succeed in physical activity, sport and leisure throughout the year. 

This award is to recognise the contribution that a volunteer has made. 

This category is for an individual person, group or organisation that has made an outstanding contribution above and beyond expectation.

Eg where it’s based, the diversity of people and community it serves, how many people actively attend sessions regularly
Eg how do they go the 'extra mile' for their members - are they more welcoming, open longer hours, do they have excellent coaches?
Eg NGB Clubmark, etc
Eg personal best results, competition awards
Eg how much training do they do, what behaviours do they show that can act as inspirational for others, do you have an example of them inspiring others?
Eg any personal setbacks or injuries that they have managed to fight back from in the last 12 months
Eg performance goals, next big competition or event they are preparing for
Eg personal best results, awards, inclusion in press releases, quoted in media
Eg signing up for the Daily Mile, or promoting the Westminster Mile to students
Eg any breakfast or after school sessions that have been introduced this year
