For what: To support the running of the Over-50s Club
Outcome: NEWPIN continues to offer the elderly a support network to build a stronger community

Our aim has been to reduce loneliness and isolation by giving a bright airy space for members to come to each week… Our older family members need to feel connected, wanted, and loved… We have been kindly supported by the local ward budget towards the costings. - Carol Smylie, Manager

The Avenues Youth Project

Funding received: £9,625
For what: To help facilitate a five-week football camp post-lockdown.
Outcome: Improved fitness and socialisation skills for young people.

Our 5 week football camp was approved and funded in full. This allowed 119 young people to participate in 50 sessions with our trained youth workers and football coaches with great results. – Paddy Barnes, Fundraising and Sustainability

For what: To enhance the school’s playground and protect pupils from pollutants.
Outcome: A healthier atmosphere and space for children to enjoy and to appreciate environmental issues.
