The Young Westminster Foundation (YWF) supports young people in Westminster through sharing information offered by a variety of services and organisations across the city. 

With Young K&C, YWF have recently launched a new online platform, Our City, connecting young Londoners with free or low-cost activities in Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea. 

All projects are run by friendly and experienced local organisations who are passionate about creating opportunities for young people. From football academies, to drama groups, to youth clubs, there are loads of great things to do in your area.

City Lions is a programme run by Westminster City Council and offers opportunities for 13 to 16-year olds access to exclusive events within the creative industry. Joining City Lions is a great way for young people to gain work experience and build their creative skills. In 2021, they are running a series of virtual and face-to-face programmes.

There are a number of Westminster Youth Hubs to get involved with for a variety of age ranges. Youth Hubs are a great way to make friends and learn new skills. Check out some of the youth clubs in Westminster below to find one for you. 

The Avenues Youth Project

This award-winning youth centre on Third Avenue, W10 provides great activities for ages 8 to 18. These include sport, games, arts and craft, dance, judo, music production, podcasting, videography, world cinema, trips and much more, all led by trained youth workers. All activities are free and food is provided with many sessions.

Four Feathers  

Four Feathers youth club is situated next to Regent's Park and welcomes young people aged 8-19 from Marylebone and surrounding areas within London. Four Feathers run a senior and junior club from Tuesday to Friday after school with a range of activities including boxing, IT, music, dance, sport, arts and crafts and much more.

St Andrew's 

St Andrew’s is the world’s oldest youth club, founded in 1866. The club is based in South Westminster and is open to ages 5 and above. St Andrew’s run a range of activities from archery to music production, cookery to chess, screen printing to photography, karate to arts and crafts. The club work with some of London’s most exciting organisations including the English National Opera and Tate Britain.

Future Men

Future Men manage two youth hubs in Westminster: Churchill Gardens and The Amberley. They support boys and young men to become dynamic future men. The youth hubs provide a space for young people aged 8 to 19 to take part in activities such as music production, sport and games, as well as development programmes such as healthy relationships, inclusion and diversity training.

ActiveWestminster was launched by Westminster City Council to encourage residents to be more active. Check out their website for information about sites in Westminster where you can exercise, find activities and events for young people as well as online videos and tools for working out at home.

A wide range of support is available by phone, text and online for children and young people who need help with their emotional wellbeing and mental health.

The majority of this can be accessed by young people directly (with no referral required), including a range of 24-hour resources and support.

Family Hubs provide support for parents, carers and their children, and young people up to the age of 19 (or to 25 for those with special educational needs and disabilities).

Westminster has three Family Hubs in the South (Bessborough Centre), North East (Church Street) and North West (Queens Park) of the city.

Friendly, experienced and qualified staff are based in the Hubs who can assist families with making choices and using services.
