What we do...

The Volunteer Centre provides information on volunteering opportunities in Westminster. Our service is open to everyone and is free of charge.

We also work with local charities to help them to think about how they can involve volunteers.

Who we work with...

We have several different projects one of which gives support to people with a  learning disability who live in Westminster and want to volunteer.

Our Development Officer will support you in deciding what type of voluntary work you might like to do, will arrange interviews and support you to attend. Once a voluntary placement has been found volunteers are fully supported in learning how to do their work and with travel training. If more support is needed then this can be arranged.

Those who are happy with their placement are invited to join our user group which meets 3 or 4 times a year. The group helps the project develop in a user friendly way and as a bonus have often been treated to some wonderful days from the organisations that we work with.
