Meter bays

The hours of operation and maximum stay periods are stated on an instruction plate on the front of the meter.

 

Parking meters only accept the following coins:

To ensure that you are putting money into the correct meter, please check that the meter is located within the white line markings of the space where you have parked.

Out of order parking meters 

You are not permitted to park in a meter that is out of order.  This is to discourage intentional vandalism of meters.  If you park at an out of order meter you may receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

Our parking attendants report faults with our equipment as part of their daily duties so that problems can be fixed as quickly as possible. 

Reporting a fault

If you experience a fault with a machine please contact Parking Services immediately by telephone on 020 7823 4567 (given on the machine’s information label) and state the number of the machine (also on the label e.g. A013) and the name of the street where it is located.
