Suspensions Hotline

You can help us by calling the suspensions hotline on 020 7823 4567 or using the online form to report:

  • out of date suspension signs
  • incorrect information on suspension signs
  • damaged or stolen suspension signs
  • instances where suspensions are in place, but no work appears to be taking place
  • unauthorised skips
  • activity taking place in a bay, but no sign in place

We will investigate the matters you raise and seek to resolve any issues.

Please note that we will not reply or contact you in response to any issues you raise. The Suspensions Hotline is solely a tool for reporting issues.

Return to Service Stickers for Domestic Moves

You can help your neighbours by making space available as soon as your suspension is no longer needed.

Since March 2007, gully cleaning crews have been placing a 'Return to Service' sticker over existing suspension labels to show that the work has been completed, and that the bays can be used again. The trial was extended to include suspensions for domestic moves in September 2007.

Due to the success of this trial, we will now send Return to Service stickers to all applicants for a suspension for a domestic move.

In the last 12 months, over 20% of all suspensions were for domestic moves - that's over 4,500 suspensions. Through the use of these stickers, we have a real opportunity to free up kerbside space for all drivers.

Large scale suspensions

From Monday 21 January 2008, the classification of a large scale suspension will change from 50 to 30 resident parking spaces.

Alternative parking must be provided in the case of a large scale suspension. One alternative resident parking space will be made available for every five suspended spaces.

If you require 30 or more spaces to be suspended, you are liable to pay £36.00 per space per day of the suspension. If you are a statutory utility company, you are liable to pay £36.00 per space per week. This is to cover the cost of providing alternative parking spaces for resident permit holders.
