On-street parking within Westminster is divided into 8 different resident parking zones (A-H). Your permit will display the parking zone in which you are entitled to park.
Zone maps for resident parking are available for each zone. To request a map of your zone, please contact us or us pick one up at your nearest One Stop Service.
Resident Parking Permit holders in Camden and Kensington & Chelsea can use their permits to park in Westminster Resident bays only in prescribed boundary streets (see list below). In addition, permit holders are allowed to park for free from 8.30am – 9.30am and 5.30pm – 6.30pm in meter bays in these prescribed boundary streets. The same concession applies to Westminster Residents Permit Holders in these boroughs.
The agreement does not “automatically” apply where a location may be a boundary street - concessions apply in the following prescribed boundary streets only.
Camden - accepted boundary streets
Kensington and Chelsea - accepted boundary streets
There is no reciprocal agreement for Queen's Gate.
Vehicles displaying valid resident parking permits or visitor parking permits from the London Borough of Brent are afforded the usual concessions in residents', shared-use and meter bays in Oxford Rd.
You may not park in suspended parking bays. This will result in a parking ticket being issued and your vehicle may be relocated or removed to the car pound. Please check the times carefully for when a suspension is in force. Where possible, street signs will give several days advance warning, but in emergencies, this may not be possible. You must therefore always ensure that your vehicle and the location are checked each morning before 8.30am or arrange for this to be done. If you are ging away you can obtain information about planned suspensions by calling 020 7641 6850 (Mon-Fri 8am - 6pm) or take advanatge of our Holiday Parking Scheme.
