To obtain a resident parking permit for your eco vehicle, you must first provide the normal documents required for proof of residency and vehicle ownership and use.

Secondly, in order to qualify for the 100% discount, you will need to provide proof of eco vehicle status on your V5C vehicle registration document or provide a supporting letter from an approved supplier on the Energy Powershift Register. This is maintained by the Energy Saving Trust (visit the Energy Saving Trust website for more details: www.est.org.uk/fleet).

You can renew your permit in the usual way by visiting one of our One Stop Services or via post. As with first time applications, additional proof of eco vehicle status will be required to qualify for the discount. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer our online renewal facility to permit holders with eco vehicles at this time.
If you wish to change your petrol or diesel fueled vehicle to an eco vehicle, we can issue you with a refund for the balance of time remaining on your existing permit upon accepted proof of eco vehicle status.
Conversely, if you change from an eco vehicle to a petrol or diesel fueled vehicle, or wish to add such a vehicle to your permit, you must apply for a new permit and pay the appropriate permit fee according to the engine size of your new or second vehicle and produce all relevant documentation within one month of your application.
Residents who already have a permit for an eco vehicle will be only considered for the new discount if they next renew their permit either on or after the 23rd April 2007. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for permits purchased before this date.
