9.  Why can I only park in a Resident's Bay until 5:30pm when the Trades Permit is valid until 6:30pm?

Resident parking bays are at a premium in the City and this rule has been made to ensure that as many spaces as possible are available for residents to park in the evenings. Failure to move the vehicle by 5:30pm may result in a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) being issued. You are advised to move your vehicle into a meter, pay & display or pay by phone bay in good time from 5:30pm onwards to avoid being issued with a PCN.

10.  How do Parking Attendants enforce Trades Permits?

Parking attendants will be able to check the validity of a Trades Permit by looking at the permit displayed in the car and through use of their handhelds. If a parking attendant is unable to view and verify the details of your permit, this may result in you being issued a Penalty Charge Notice.

11.  Why are half day Trades Permits no longer available?

Since the Council increased maximum stay on meters and Pay & Display machines from 2 hours to 4 hours, we have seen a significant drop in applications for the half day Trades Permits as many of our customers are now parking on meters and pay and display machines.
