From July 2008, customers who do not have a mobile phone or debit/credit card can pay for parking using a Parking Card.

The hours on control in this zone are being extended to include of all Zone D4. This will take effect on Saturday 3rd May 2008. Hours of control will be extended for resident parking only.

From Monday 18 February 2008, Pay by Phone parking will be rolled out as a complementary method of payment in four more areas of the city. This will mean the technology is now available across all of Westminster.

Hundreds of 'golden bays' in Westminster will offer free parking at 200 Pay by Phone bays randomly located in some of the most desirable parking areas across the borough.

From 22 October 2007, there will no longer be a service charge for setting up or extending a parking session when using Pay by Phone parking.

From 1 October 2007, we will be increasing the number of spaces for motorcyclists across the borough by 20%. This means that there will be approximately 5000 spaces available to motorcyclists.

The advent of new technologies, such as Pay by Phone and Chip & PIN machines, means that parking meters in central London now look set to become a thing of the past.
