City of Westminster has a range of cyclist training initiatives that are offered to schools, children, adults and families.
The following courses are FREE only to those living, working or studying in Westminster.
School Holiday Courses for Children
A two-day course for children held during the school holidays consisting of intensive training covering all aspects of safer cycling. Including maneuvering skills, correct procedures for turning junctions and strategies to cope with traffic.

Note: Some of the training may take place on the public highway if the trainees are deemed competent to do so.
School Group Courses
A course of four two hour sessions for up to 15 pupils held during school hours designed to teach all aspects of safer cycling including rules and responsibilities of riding on the road.
Cycle Awareness for Younger Children
A tailored course is offered during school hours for pupils’ aged from 7 to 9. This is designed to teach basic skills and knowledge required to ride a cycle safely.
Adult Groups
For organisations located in Westminster.
A three-hour training session for staff groups teaching all aspects of safer cycling.
Adult Cyclist Training
One-to-one training for anyone over 16 that lives, works or studies in the Westminster.
Note: Some of the training may take place on the public highway if the trainees are deemed competent.
Learn to Ride a Bike Course for Adults
Consists of intensive one-to-one training covering basic skills and knowledge required for riding a bike.
