Paying the congestion charge
Payment can be made at any time
- via the call centre 0845 900 1234.
- via the congestion charging website www.cclondon.com by credit or debit card.
- at selected petrol stations, retailers and car parks - where you see the congestion charging sign or the PayPoint logo (some retailers may also accept payment by cheque and credit or debit card at their discretion).
- by mobile phone text message- by sending a simple text message from your mobile phone (you will need to register for this SMS text messaging service, with your credit or debit card details - 0845 900 1234).
- by post- pay by cheque, postal order, credit or debit card, with a "Paying the congestion charge" form to: PO Box 2985, Coventry CV7 8ZR.
- self service machines - pay with certain credit and debit cards, at self service machines in major public car parks within the charging zone.
You can pay the congestion charge up to 90 days in advance of the day of your journey into the congestion charging zone, or on the day itself. You will be able to pay the charge on a daily, weekly (covering 5 consecutive charging days), monthly (20 consecutive charging days) or annual (252 consecutive charging days) basis. You can also pay for as many non-consecutive charging days as you want. There are no discounts for buying in 'bulk'.
