National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC) is the national charity promoting safe child contact within a national framework of 390 Child Contact Services, offering safe, friendly and neutral places where children of separated families can spend time with one or both parents and sometimes other family members.
Most centres offer supported contact at a neutral venue where contact can take place. Centres can also normally facilitate a handover if the parents do not want to meet; if this is required it would need to be specified that the parents were not to meet on the referral form. Supported centres cannot work with families if there are high levels of risk involving domestic violence, safeguarding children, drug or alcohol abuse and mental illness.
Where there is identified risk of harm a supervised centre has to be used as they offer one-to-one supervision. Reports for court can be produced if required.
