Westminster Family Information Service (FIS) is a free, impartial information service for parents and carers of children and young people aged 0-19 (up to 25 years for those with additional needs).

The Family Information Service provides free, reliable, impartial information and advice on childcare and a wide range of other services for children, families and young people in the City of Westminster. The service is a comprehensive source of information, available to ensure that informed choices can be made. If you are a parent or carer and are unsure who to go to for advice, contact our friendly team who will be happy to help.

Our telephone helpline is +44 (0)20 7641 7929 now has a reduced service Monday - Friday, with  voicemail available or contact the service via email at fis@westminster.gov.uk.

All requests for information are processed within 48 hours working hours of receipt..

Parenting

Bringing up children is likely to be one of the most difficult jobs any of us ever do. As many as 75% of all parents and carers say there are times when they would welcome help and advice when it comes to being a parent. Find out what Westminster is doing to support parents.

In addition to the support provided for parents find out about Triple P (Positive Parenting Programme) courses which are aimed at parents with a child in the family up to the age of 11 years who are having difficulty managing their child’s behaviour.
