Walking routes
For help planning your walking route in London, please click here to be re-directed to the walkit.com website. This website has a journey planner that will calculate the distance of the route, estimate how long it will take and how many calories you will burn (at different walking speeds). It will also give an estimate of the CO2 saving made compared to other modes of transport.
There are six strategic walks in Greater London. Two of these routes run through the City of Westminster, providing scenic routes for walkers:
- The Thames Path - is a 304km classic riverside route from the source of the River in Gloucester all the way to the Thames Barrier, with an extension to Crayford Marshes.
- The Jubilee Walkway - is a 25km (14 mile) circular heritage walk connecting many of central London's best-known landmarks and attractions.
