Transport Policy and Plans
Westminster’s planning policy framework is currently moving from a Unitary Development Plan based system to a Local Development Framework (LDF) . Once this transition is complete, the Council’s planning and transport policies will be primarily set out in two LDF documents: the Core Strategy and the City Management Plan.
Alongside these documents, the Council’s Local Implementation Plan provides a 20 year strategy and delivery plan for improving Westminster’s transport system and public realm. It also contains a more detailed scheme implementation plan for the period 2011/12 – 2013/14.
Local Implementation Plan (LIP)

Core Strategy
is the main DPD prepared by the Council. It sets out the key elements of the planning framework for Westminster, for the next 15-20 years.
City Management Plan
this will include more detailed planning and transport policies.
