Half Penny Steps
Under the Harrow Road regeneration programme, a new project is being developed to:
- improve the public space adjacent to Half Penny (or "Ha'Penny") Steps footbridge
- improve access to, along and across the Grand Union Canal
The core project area is the stretch of canal corridor running between Queen's Park and Westbourne wards (between Great Western Road and Ha'Penny Steps) and the open space situated on Westminster's side of the footbridge. However, work on access improvements will consider a wider area, potentially including any identified problems crossing the city boundary on routes from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
