Security devices

In order to improve parking facilities for motorcyclists, Westminster introduced security devices for motorcycles.

We have installed Sheffield Stands at 9 locations:

  • Carey Street;
  • Chandos Place;
  • Drury Lane;
  • Milford Lane;
  • Moscow Road.
  • Oxendon Street;
  • Suffolk Place;
  • Upper St Martin's Lane; and
  • Wardour Street.

We have also installed a number of ground anchors at various locations across Westminster. These can be found at:

  • Alexander Street;
  • Cleveland Gardens;
  • Cleveland Square;
  • Enbrook Street (2 locations);
  • Hereford Road;
  • Lancaster Gate;
  • Porchester Terrace;
  • Second Avenue;
  • Sixth Avenue;
  • Third Avenue;
  • Warwick Avenue;
  • Westbourne Gardens;
  • Westbourne Park Road (2 locations); and
  • Westbourne Park Villas.

It is hoped that the installation of these security devices will make motorcycle bays more secure for riders.

We are committed to rolling out further security for motorcycles across the borough and will continue to install devices at new sites where appropriate and practicable.

Should you have any suggestions for sites that would benefit from the installation of security devices, please let us know by completing and submitting the following form -
