How to Apply

Everyone who requires a parking space to be suspended will need to fill out an application form and pay the appropriate charges (see suspension charges).
From 27 April 2009, the tariff for suspending a parking bay increased by 2 pounds to £38.00 per bay, per day. All applications received from 8am, 27 April 2009 onwards will be charged at the new rate of £38.00. Please note that we are in the process of updating our online application process to reflect the new fee.
Please note that we do not do weekend suspensions as a matter of course. If you wish to suspend bays during the weekend, please call the Suspensions team on 020 7641 6850 to discuss.
There are two ways to apply:
- Online - Complete the online form to book a suspension. We will then contact you by telephone to confirm the suspension and take payment details. You will need to have a debit or credit card in order to pay for the suspension. The following debit/credit card types are accepted

Customers should be advised that it is sometimes necessary to obtain a licence for certain types of suspension. Examples include suspensions for:
- Skips

- Scaffolding
- Fencing / hoarding
In these instances, you should obtain your licence before applying for a suspension. Go to Highways licensing for more information.

Alternative resident parking must be provided in the case of a large scale suspension. One alternative resident parking space will be made available for resident permit holders for every five suspended spaces.
