A suspension of a parking bay can be used to reserve space for a removal van for a house move or skip delivery.
Other examples of when a bay can be suspended include:
10 calendar days notice is required for a suspension request. Exception to this is when emergency work needs to be carried out (i.e. gas, water repairs).
Please notify us by 2pm the day before the bay is not needed. You should call the Suspensions Team on 020 7641 6850 (choose option 4, then option 1) between 08:00-14:00 Monday-Friday.
The suspension of a parking bay does not guarantee that the bay will be clear at the starting time of your suspension. If any difficulties are encountered whilst the suspension is in place please call the number shown on the yellow sign. The council will endeavour to deal with this as soon as possible up to and including the provision of sending a relocation vehicle to the scene. Please note that due to prevailing traffic issues and the present whereabouts of the vehicle it is not possible to guarantee a timeframe for this, or indeed that the offending vehicles
can be relocated - under these circumstances, where the council cannot remove a vehicle within a period of 4 hours from the initial call, the council will either rebook the suspension free of charge or offer a full refund.
To report a suspension issue please use our online form or Call 020 7823 4567
