Westminster offers two services for vehicles that need to park outside premises in order to carry out works or to deliver heavy equipment - parking bay suspensions and yellow line dispensations.
If you wish to deposit a skip on the street (public highway) you will need to apply for skip licence, which also requires a parking suspension or yellow line dispensation. Apply for a suspension, dispensation or skip using our online booking system here.
Trades people (such as plumbers, electricians, painters, carpenters, decorators etc.) who are carrying out works or services to premises within Westminster can apply for a trade permit using our online booking system here.
Charges for the suspension of parking bays and for single yellow line dispensations are due to increase on 1 July 2013. From this date, charges will be as follows:
| Type | Price |
|---|---|
| bay suspension | £42 per bay per day |
| single yellow line dispensation | £42 per vehicle per day |
| NJUG/LJUG Utilities suspension | £45 per bay per week |
If you need to carry out works in a specific parking bay then you will need to apply for a parking suspension.
If you need to carry out work on a yellow line you will need to apply for a dispensation.
If you want to place a skip on the public highway, you will need to obtain a skip licence.
