Temporary vehicle change

If you need to use a courtesy car or a hire vehicle because your own is off the road temporarily, or you need to change the details for a new car straight away, we can issue you with temporary cover for 14 days.

Please make sure you have to hand your current permit number and the replacement vehicle details. You will be given a Unique Reference Number (URN) immediately; this must be displayed next to your existing permit in the replacement vehicle.

Please Note:   

 There is a £10 charge for a temporary change.

 Temporary cover cannot be reissued unless a further period of 14 days has elapsed.

 The temporary change is subject to the same terms and conditions as a resident permit.
