Renewing Your Permit
Renew Online
It is quick and easy to renew your permit online. All you will need is:
- The PIN code from your renewal letter
- Your vehicle Registration Mark
- Debit or Credit card to make payment
- If you are not on the Westminster Council Tax database then you will need to upload a residency proof as part of the renewal proces (click here for a list of proof documents)
When completed, a one year permit will then be sent to you in 3-5 working days.
Renewal letters are normally issued approximately 6 weeks prior to the expiry of your permit. If you have not received a renewal letter please contact us on 020 7823 4567 and request that a new PIN is issed.
If your permit has expired you may either apply online or altenatively you can download an application form here and post your completed application to the address detailed below. you would be required to provide relevant proofs for your application.
Your One Stop Express
You can also renew your permit at a library which has a your One Stop Express Machine. This is a self serve terminal with a scanner and Westminster staff will be available to assist you. All you will need to bring with you is:
- The PIN code from your renewal letter
- Your vehicle Registration Mark
- Debit of Credit Card to make payment (please note you cannot pay by cash or cheque at these locations)

If you are not on the Westminster Council Tax database then you will need to have your residency proof verified by the council officer at this location (click here for a list of proof documents).
When completed, a one year permit will then be sent to you in 3-5 working days.
