Parking Rules

If you fail to adhere to the parking regulations in Westminster without justification, you may receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
The parking regulations are enforced at certain times of day. In some places, they are enforced 24 hours a day. We refer to this as 'hours of control' or 'hours of enforcement'.
Look out for this sign. It is called a Controlled Parking Zone sign (CPZ) sign and will tell you that you are entering an area of differing controls to the CPZ you have just come from. The signs indicate the times when waiting restrictions are in force. Read more on CPZs and parking prices.
Not sure what the rules for parking are?
Take a look at the Where to Park section of this website for the parking options that are available to you including the rules for yellow lines.
IMPORTANT Information for Disabled Badge Holders
The conditions of use for the Blue Badge Scheme in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, City of London & Camden (South of Euston Road), differ from parking concessions for disabled motorists in the rest of the country. Please ensure you know what these concessions are before parking in Westminster.
If you hold either a Blue Badge or a Westminster White Badge, please see the Disabled Parking section of our website.
