Enforcement Code of Practice V1.7

We have updated our Enforcement Code of Practice: the guidelines that our Civil Enforcement Officers use when enforcing the parking and moving traffic regulations in the City of Westminster.

The document, which can be read here, outlines when a PCN should be issued, as well as listing the exemptions to enforcement and the concessions that should be afforded.

City-Wide Tariff Increase

Paid-for parking tariffs in Pay by Phone, Pay and Display and Shared-Use bays are due to increase from Monday 7 November 2011. The increases will be phased by resident's parking zones/sub-zone over a number of weeks as follows:

  • Monday 7 November 2011 - zones A, D and H
  • Monday 14 November 2011 - zones/sub-zones B (including B/C1), F1, F2, F4 and F5
  • Monday 21 November 2011 - zone C (including C/B1)
  • Date to be confirmed - zones/sub-zones E, F3, F6 and G

The CPZ map below illustrates the resident's parking zones/sub-zones -

The tariffs are increasing by approx 10% city-wide. This is purely an inflationary increase - the last city-wide increase was in 2009.

The Cabinet Member report regarding the tariff review and Statement of Decision can be read here (report) and here (decision).

The tariff increases are independent of the City Council's Strategic Parking Policy Review.
